Error Code 86
AC supply voltage is too high and could damage the compressor
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: LED 86 blink / 6 blinks on Inverter LED
What This Means
Input AC voltage at or above 155V (for 110–127V supply); DC link resistors R309, R310, or R311 shorted on inverter PCB
What actually causes this:
The power coming into the refrigerator is dangerously high — this can happen during power surges.
First Thing to Check
Measure outlet voltage; if above 130V (US), there is likely a power surge or wiring fault in the home.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure AC input voltage at outlet — must be below 155V
- 2
Check DC link resistors R309, R310, R311 on inverter PCB for shorts
- 3
Inspect PCB solder joints
