What This Means
Motor spin net is not engaged; Motor internal coil is damaged (short-circuited or cut); Hall sensor terminal is not connected; Foreign material (a screw) has entered the motor; Motor overloaded due to too much laundry (non-sensing); Motor hall sensor terminal is not connected; PBA fault — motor driving signal from PBA is weak; Unstable relay operation; Erroneous operating signals from motor hall sensor; IPM terminal of main PBA is not connected; DD motor cover is out of place; PCB housing terminal is not connected; DD motor fault
What actually causes this:
Usually too many clothes crammed in — the motor can't turn the drum properly
First Thing to Check
Remove some clothes to reduce the load and restart the cycle
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check motor connector terminal contacts and connections
- 2
2. Plug out the connector and read resistances at any two of the three terminals on the motor — should be 6.0 Ohm at 25°C
- 3
3. Check the washing motor/hall sensor connections for incorrect wiring
- 4
4. Check whether the stator of the motor cover on the main PCB is damaged
- 5
5. Check for coil disconnections due to foreign material (between 4 pins — pins 1 and 3, and 1 and 4)
- 6
6. Check the resistance on the main PCB — approx. 2 to 4 MOhm
- 7
7. Check the voltage when the power is on
- 8
8. If the PBA control circuit is faulty, replace the PBA
