What This Means

What actually causes this:
Something like a coin, hair pin, or sock got stuck in the drain pump or filter

Open the small filter door at the bottom front of the washer and clean out the debris filter

1. Check the drain pump filter for foreign material — remove rubber bands, coins, cotton, hair pins, etc.

2. Check whether the drain hose is clogged or kinked

3. Verify the drain pump terminal is connected

4. If winter season, check for frozen drain hose — use a hair dryer to thaw

5. Check the drain pump impeller for damage
- 6
6. Replace drain pump assembly if faulty (ASSY is service material — all parts replaced together)
