What This Means

Drain pump motor impeller damaged internally; Wrong voltage supplied to parts (220V to 110V); Drain pump part fault; Freezing in winter season; Drain hose clogged (injection error, foreign material); Foreign material in drain pump (rubber bands, bills, cotton, hair pins, coins); Water pump terminal not connected; Main PCB fault

What actually causes this:

Something like a coin, hair pin, or sock got stuck in the drain pump or filter

First Thing to Check

Open the small debris filter door on the front bottom of the washer, place a towel down, unscrew the filter cap, and check for trapped objects

How to Fix

    1. Check whether the revolutions of the drain pump motor are restrained by foreign material

  2. 2

    2. Check the same for the natural drain process

  3. 3

    3. Check whether the connections are correct and if there are any wires disconnected

  4. 4

    4. Unplug the connector and read resistance at the terminals on drain pump — terminal 1: 219.6 to 257.8 Ohm; terminal 2: 170.2 to 208 Ohm

  5. 5

    5. If the drain pump operates abnormally intermittently when the water temperature is high, check for temperature-related issues

  6. 6

    6. If motor revolutions are restrained due to freezing, remove the ice and check drain

  7. 7

    7. Replace the drain pump if faulty
