Upper oven sensor short — oven thermistor is shorted

Moderate

Also displayed as: F2

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Unplug the unit.

  2. 2

Check sensor connector for looseness or disconnection at CN60 pins 4 and 5 of Main PCB.

  3. 3

Measure thermistor resistance across sensor leads — normal is approximately 1.09 kΩ at 75°F (25°C). A short will read below 5 Ω.

  4. 4

If resistance is shorted (below 5 Ω), replace the upper oven temperature sensor.

  5. 5

If resistance is normal, enter test mode and verify thermistor reading is between 70°F and 90°F at room temperature.

  6. 6

If test mode value is still abnormal, replace the Main PCB.

  7. 7

Reconnect all wiring and test oven for normal operation.
