Error Code 24E
Freezer defrost heater malfunction or sensor failure
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: 24E
What This Means
Connector slipped out or open contact; Wire cut or short-circuited; Defective thermistor; Heater continues heating during defrost for more than 80 minutes
What actually causes this:
Defrost heater relay stuck closed, thermistor fails, or wiring shorted to ground
First Thing to Check
Turn off power, disconnect CN70_1, measure resistance of heater element
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Disconnect MAIN PCB CN70_1 and read resistance between Orange and Brown wire terminals
- 2
0 Ohm reading indicates heater short circuit
- 3
Infinity Ohm reading indicates wire cut or blown thermistor
- 4
Check wire diagram for normal heater resistance values
- 5
Verify defrost cycle completes within 80 minutes
