Error Code 9C5
The washer detected an electrical problem with its power or motor circuit
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: 9C5
What This Means
Abnormal current sensing defect in ready state while the motor is not operating; AC connector shorted; PBA control circuit fault; Motor winding shorted; Consumer power supply issue (incorrect operating voltage)
What actually causes this:
A power surge, unstable voltage, or an internal electrical short in the motor or control board
First Thing to Check
Unplug the washer, wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in — make sure nothing else on the circuit is drawing heavy power
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the consumer's power conditions — verify the operating voltage is correct (120V/60Hz)
- 2
2. If the PBA Control circuit is faulty, replace the PBA
- 3
3. After eliminating PBA as the cause, check the AC connector — determine if it is shorted
- 4
4. If AC connector is shorted, repair; if not, replace the Main PBA
- 5
5. Check the motor connector — if the motor winding is shorted, replace both the motor and PBA
- 6
6. If the motor tests normal, replace the Main PBA only
