Error Code AE

Leakage Error — water detected in base pan (float/safety switch triggered)

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: AE

What This Means

Door gasket loose or fallen off; Float assembly stuck; Seal assembly not correctly seated on sump; Unit not leveled; Wrong detergent causing excessive suds; Door opened during cycle; Excessive water in tub (inlet valve or air guide fault); Main PCB fault

How to Fix

  1. 1

Step 1: Tilt the machine and drain water from the base pan.

  2. 2

Step 2: Inspect the base — check sealing of drain hose, pump casing assembly, and vario motor for source of leakage.

  3. 3

Step 3: Check and level the machine using a digital level (should be perfectly level side-to-side and front-to-back).

  4. 4

Step 4: Verify installation bracket is properly installed per installation instructions.

  5. 5

Step 5: Check door gasket — if loose or missing, replace door liner assembly.

  6. 6

Step 6: Check float (safety switch) assembly — if stuck in triggered position, replace safety switch assembly.

  7. 7

Step 7: Confirm customer is using dishwasher-rated detergent (not hand dishwashing liquid).

  8. 8

Step 8: Verify the seal assembly is properly seated and clamped to the sump.

  9. 9

Step 9: Check whether there is too much water in the tub after normal fill — if yes, replace inlet valve or air guide.

  10. 10

Step 10: If no cause found, replace main PCB assembly.

  11. 11

Note: For AE errors, document in the repair report: level check result, detergent type, whether door was opened during cycle, cycle frequency, inlet water temperature, and number of cycles run since error appeared.
