Error Code AE
Leakage Error — internal water leak detected by float/safety switch in base
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Door gasket came loose or fell off; Float assembly (safety switch) stuck; Controller (main PCB) damaged; Seal assembly on sump not properly connected; Unit not leveled correctly; Wrong detergent used (non-dishwasher detergent causing sudsing); Door opened during cycle
How to Fix
- 1
Check if water is flooded in the base; if yes, tilt machine and drain water from base
- 2
After draining, inspect drain hose sealing, pump casing assembly, and vario motor for source of leak
- 3
If leak source found, reassemble or replace the leaking part
- 4
Check if safety switch assembly is stuck; if yes, replace safety switch assembly
- 5
Check if door gasket came loose or fell off; if yes, replace door liner assembly
- 6
Verify machine is leveled properly using a digital level; adjust leveling feet if needed
- 7
Confirm customer is using dishwasher-specific detergent (not hand dishwashing liquid)
- 8
Confirm door was not opened during cycle
- 9
Check if there is too much water in tub (overfill); if yes, replace inlet valve or air guide
- 10
If float switch stuck in triggered position with no water in base, replace main PCB assembly
- 11
For AE report: document unit level, mounting bracket condition, detergent type, cycle history, water supply temperature, and whether door was opened
