Error Code PS
Power supply error – electric dryer power cord not connected correctly or house power supply is incorrect / insufficient voltage (below 240V on L1-L2 leg reaching PCB)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: PS
How to Fix
- 1
Verify outlet voltage: measure L1 and L2 at the outlet. Should be 208–240Vac ±10%.
- 2
If voltage is incorrect → Have a licensed electrician check the home outlet and circuit breaker.
- 3
Verify power cord wiring at terminal block: neutral (white) to center terminal, red to one outer terminal, black to other outer terminal, green (ground) to external ground screw.
- 4
Confirm the neutral (N) line of the power cord connects to the center N terminal on the terminal block. Incorrect wiring can cause PS error.
- 5
Check for a blown house fuse or tripped circuit breaker and reset/replace as needed (do not increase fuse capacity).
- 6
If outlet and wiring are correct and PS persists → Check voltage at connector BK2 or WH2 (Black Wire) to BL2 (White Wire) at the controller. Should be 110–125V; if not, check power cord connection to terminal block.
- 7
If 110–125V is present at controller connectors and error persists → Replace main PCB controller.
