Error Code GAS
Gas supply failure – gas not being supplied to the dryer (gas model only)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: GAS
How to Fix
- 1
Confirm the house gas shutoff valve is fully open.
- 2
Confirm the dryer gas shutoff valve (within 6 ft of the dryer) is fully open.
- 3
Check that the gas line is properly connected to the dryer's 3/8-inch NPT gas inlet.
- 4
Verify gas supply is active (check other gas appliances in the home).
- 5
If gas supply is confirmed and error persists, run Normal cycle and check voltage at Valve 1 terminal: should be DC 90Vdc or more during ignition phase.
- 6
If voltage at Valve 1 is present (≥90Vdc) but gas does not ignite → Check igniter and flame detector.
- 7
Measure gas valve coil resistances: Valve 1 = 1.5kΩ–2.5kΩ, Valve 2 = 1.5kΩ–2.5kΩ. If out of range → Replace gas valve.
- 8
Check that gas valve nozzle is not clogged. Remove any foreign body if found.
- 9
If still unresolved → Replace main PCB.
