Error Code tE1
Temperature sensor (thermistor) failure – thermistor open circuit
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: tE1
How to Fix
- 1
Power off the dryer.
- 2
Remove the NA6 connector from the main PCB.
- 3
Short pin 4 (Blue Wire) and pin 5 (Orange Wire) on the NA6 connector using a metal jumper.
- 4
If the error clears when shorted, the thermistor circuit is broken – proceed to thermistor resistance check.
- 5
Measure resistance between thermistor assembly terminals (with harness disconnected). Compare to Table 1: 50°F/10°C=18.0kΩ, 60°F/16°C=14.2kΩ, 70°F/27°C=9.3kΩ, 80°F/21°C=11.7kΩ, 90°F/32°C=7.7kΩ, 100°F/38°C=6.2kΩ, 110°F/43°C=5.2kΩ, 120°F/49°C=4.3kΩ, 130°F/54°C=2.9kΩ, 140°F/60°C=3.0kΩ, 150°F/66°C=2.5kΩ, 160°F/71°C=2.2kΩ.
- 6
If resistance is NOT within Table 1 range → Replace thermistor.
- 7
If resistance IS within Table 1 range → Check harness connector continuity between thermistor and main PCB NA6 connector.
- 8
If harness checks good → Verify NA6 connector is properly seated at the PCB; reconnect firmly. If error persists → Replace main PCB controller.
