Power supply wire connection wrong or loose (Black-White-Red)

How to Fix

1. 1

   Turn off the dryer and unplug from power.

   Check the power cord connection at the terminal block: neutral (white) must connect to center terminal, red and black wires to left and right terminals.

3. 3

   Verify strain relief is properly tightened and all terminal block nuts are tight.

4. 4

   For 4-wire connection: confirm green ground wire connects to external ground screw and neutral ground wire of appliance connects to center screw.

5. 5

   Restore power and retest; if PS persists, check the power supply voltage at the outlet — correct voltage is 208–240 VAC ±10%.

6. 6

   If outlet voltage is incorrect, have a qualified electrician repair the outlet.

7. 7

   If outlet is correct and wiring is confirmed correct, check for a blown house fuse or tripped circuit breaker and reset or replace as needed; do not increase fuse capacity.
