Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

What This Means

Outlet thermistor open or shorted; Harness connector between thermistor and PCB loose or disconnected; Defective main PCB

How to Fix

  1. 1

Turn off dryer and disconnect from power

  2. 2

Remove NA6 connector from main PCB

  3. 3

Short pin 1 (Blue wire) and pin 2 (Orange wire) of NA6 connector with a metal jumper

  4. 4

If controller now responds correctly, check that NA6 connector and the 6-pin connector are connected to controller

  5. 5

If controller still does not respond, replace controller

  6. 6

If short test fails, disconnect harness from thermistor assembly connector

  7. 7

    Measure resistance between thermistor terminals; compare to Table 1: 50°F=18.0kΩ, 60°F=14.2kΩ, 70°F=9.3kΩ, 80°F=11.7kΩ, 90°F=7.7kΩ, 100°F=6.2kΩ, 110°F=5.2kΩ, 120°F=4.3kΩ, 130°F=2.9kΩ, 140°F=3.0kΩ, 150°F=2.5kΩ, 160°F=2.2kΩ

  8. 8

If resistance is out of table range, replace thermistor

  9. 9

If resistance is within table range, check harness-linking connector for damage or corrosion
