Error Code F-9
No Heating — oven starting temperature does not exceed 150°F and oven temperature does not rise above starting temperature for over 5 minutes during preheating, with door closed
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Loose or disconnected wiring at Relay PCB; Failed bake or convection igniter; Gas valve (safety valve) not opening; Failed oven temperature sensor giving false low reading
How to Fix
- 1
Check and reconnect all wiring connectors at the Relay PCB (all tabs)
- 2
Check electric wiring of convection and bake igniter circuits
- 3
Unplug unit and measure resistance of each igniter — normal: Norton igniter 45 to 400Ω, SIC igniter 50 to 500Ω at room temperature; replace failed igniter if outside range
- 4
Plug in unit and enter test mode (press '4' and '6' simultaneously, select 'tO', press START) to check thermistor reading
- 5
Unplug unit and measure thermistor resistance at pins 5 and 6 of CN6 on Main PCB — normal is approximately 1.09 kΩ at 25°C
- 6
If thermistor is abnormal, replace the oven temperature sensor
- 7
Verify the oven gas shut-off valve is fully open
- 8
Check safety valve resistance — normal approximately 1 to 3Ω
- 9
If all components test normal but no heating, replace Relay PCB; if same issue persists, replace Main PCB
