Error Code E CH
High Side Cycle Leakage — Detected by high side refrigerant leak, restriction, bad compressor, bad valve, etc. Caused when temperature and compressor feedback signals are abnormal.
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E CH
How to Fix
- 1
Check compressor operation and verify it is running.
- 2
Check for refrigerant leakage using a portable leakage detector at the high pressure (discharge) side with compressor running.
- 3
Inspect condenser and discharge pipe for warmth; if cold, suspect refrigerant loss or compressor failure.
- 4
Check for restriction or clogging in capillary tube.
- 5
Check 3-way valve for leakage.
- 6
If leak found, discharge R600a refrigerant safely outdoors (use refrigerant return bag if indoors), repair leak, replace dryer, use LOKRING connectors (no welding), pull vacuum for minimum 30 minutes, recharge to nameplate specification (64g ±2g).
- 7
If compressor is suspected bad, check compressor windings: Power terminal resistance 5.6~9 ohm, Save terminal resistance 9~14 ohm (FLD165NBMA/FLD165NCMA).
- 8
Check PCB inverter output at CON201 (POWER, COMMON, SAVE): normal output is 60V or higher. If below 60V, replace Main PCB.
