Defect of freezer sensor — short-circuit or disconnection of freezer sensor

How to Fix

1. 1

   Step 1: Check connector between Main PCB and sensor. If disconnected or loose, reconnect or repair connector and recheck.

2. 2

   Step 2: Measure sensor resistance at CON8 22nd Pin ~ 21st Pin. If resistance is 0 ohm (short circuit), replace the sensor.

3. 3

   Step 3: If resistance reads OL/infinite (open circuit), proceed to step 6.

4. 4

   Step 4: Check the sensor resistance against the temperature-resistance table. If values match the table, explain to customer — refrigerator is operating normally.

   Step 5: If resistance does not match table, replace the sensor.

6. 6

   Step 6: Check sensor connection at the sensor housing. If sensor connection is normal, replace the refrigerator PCB assembly.

7. 7

   Step 7: If sensor connection is not normal, reconnect or repair the connector.
