Defect of freezer defrost sensor — short-circuit or disconnection of defrost sensor

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Step 1: Check connector between Main PCB, defrost controller, and sensor. If loose or disconnected, reconnect or repair connector.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Measure sensor resistance at CON8 26th Pin ~ 25th Pin. If 0 ohm (short), replace sensor.

  3. 3

    Step 3: If OL/infinite (open), replace refrigerator PCB.

  4. 4

    Step 4: Check sensor resistance is within normal range for ambient temperature.

  5. 5

    Step 5: If values match table, explain to customer — defrost sensor is functioning normally.
