How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Reset unit and enter Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time). Measure fan motor supply voltage at CON4 12th Pin ~ 11th Pin. If NOT 11.4~12.6V, replace Main PCB.
- 2
Step 2: Open freezer door and check for airflow in ice compartment. If windy, proceed to step 5.
- 3
Step 3: If no airflow, manually rotate fan blade by hand. If fan feels sticky/binding, replace fan motor.
- 4
Step 4: Go to step 5.
- 5
Step 5: Measure feedback voltage at CON4 10th Pin ~ 11th Pin. If reads 0V or 5V (not fluctuating), replace fan motor.
- 6
Step 6: Measure PWM voltage at CON4 9th Pin ~ 11th Pin. If reads 0V or 5V (not fluctuating), replace Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: If all voltages are correct, explain to customer — icing fan is operating normally.
