Error Code LC
Water is leaking inside the base of the dishwasher
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: LC
What This Means
Overfill occurred in the tub; Water from a leak flowed to the bottom tray; Water inlet valve leaking — foreign substance preventing valve from closing; Drain pump not operating normally; Leakage switch is dirty or damaged; Float is too high or something is holding the micro switch on; Drain hose is obstructed or kinked; Base float is damaged or too dirty; Incorrect wiring to micro switch after previous repair
What actually causes this:
A hose connection came loose, the door seal is worn, or the drain is backed up causing water to collect in the bottom tray
First Thing to Check
Turn off the dishwasher and the water supply valve under the sink immediately — look for water on the floor under or around the dishwasher
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the connections for the leakage switch connector and reconnect
- 2
2. Check whether the water valve operates normally — see 4C error diagnostics
- 3
3. Check whether the drain pump operates normally — replace if faulty
- 4
4. Check whether water is supplied even in small amounts when the valve should be off — remove foreign material from the water valve or replace it
- 5
5. Check whether there is any trace of water leakage on the top of the case leakage switch — clean the leakage switch
- 6
6. Check if the float is too high or something is holding the micro switch on — repair the float and leakage switch
- 7
7. Check if drain hose is obstructed or kinked — clean or adjust hose
- 8
8. Check base float for damage or dirt — replace or clean
- 9
9. Check for incorrect wiring to the micro switch after previous repair — correct the connections
- 10
10. Check the DC voltage of the Main PBA — measure voltage between pin 1 (Pink) and pin 3 (Blue) of the main PBA CN6 connector. Normal (Door Close): 0V, Normal (Door Open): 11.4V to 12.6V
