Error Code PC

The motor that directs water to different spray zones is not working properly

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: No display

What This Means

Synchronous motor (distributor motor) is out of order; Distributor motor connector disconnected; Micro switch terminal disconnected; Distributor mechanism jammed; Cam assembly out of position; Main PBA defect

What actually causes this:

The water distribution motor got stuck or a position sensor failed

First Thing to Check

Try running a full load cycle instead of half load — if only half load cycles show the problem, the distribution motor needs service

Parts Involved

Distributor MotorMicro SwitchCam AssemblyMain PBA

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Check the connections for the distributor motor and micro switch connectors — reconnect if loose

  2. 2

    2. Check whether the coil in distributor motor is conductive (remove connectors before measuring) — Normal: approx. 3.6 to 4.0 k-ohms

  3. 3

    3. Check the position sensing operations when turning the micro switch on and off using n5 service test mode — check conduction between brown wire and violet wire — Micro switch ON: Short, Micro switch OFF: Open

  4. 4

    4. Micro switch sign should alternate ON/OFF — it is NG if it keeps in ON or OFF state for 120 seconds (do not supply with water during test)

  5. 5

    5. Adjust Cam Assembly and find the faulty part — replace if faulty

  6. 6

    6. Check whether half load is operating normally — check operating voltage between pin 3 (Brown) wire of CN401 and pin 1 (Red) wire of CN101 — Normal: 110-120V while operating

  7. 7

    7. Check the Power Relay
