What This Means

Sensor connector loose or disconnected at CN90; Sensor wire damaged; Defective ice maker sensor

What actually causes this:

The sensor telling the ice maker how cold it is has failed or become unplugged, so the ice maker cannot determine when to harvest ice.

First Thing to Check

Locate the ice maker sensor connector at CN90 and confirm it is firmly plugged in.

How to Fix

    Check Main PCB connector CN90 for secure connection

  2. 2

    Measure voltage between CN90 PIN 11 and PIN 13; should be 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    Compare to temperature/voltage table (ice maker sensor is 20kΩ full-scale; actual = table value × 2)

  4. 4

    Replace sensor if out of range
