What This Means

Bad connector contact at CN31; Freezer defrost sensor unit malfunction; Voltage reading outside 0.6V-4.6V range; Iced-solder or solder bridging; Defective MICOM input at pin #6

What actually causes this:

Sensor disconnected or damaged by frost accumulation during defrost cycles

Look for frost buildup around the defrost heater and sensor

How to Fix

    1. Check MAIN PCB Connector CN31 insertion

  2. 2

    2. Measure voltage between CN31-3 and CN31-4 (should be 0.6V-4.6V)

    3. Verify input voltage at IC01 MICOM pin #6

  4. 4

    4. Inspect for iced-solder or bridging

  5. 5

    5. Compare to temperature reference table

  6. 6

    6. Check resistance value R313 on MICOM pin #6
