Error Code Ice Room
Ice maker temperature sensor is not reading correctly
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: Ice Room
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN91; Ice room sensor unit malfunction; Voltage reading outside 0.6V-4.6V range; Iced-solder or solder bridging; Defective MICOM input at pin #11
What actually causes this:
Ice buildup around sensor or sensor wire break inside ice compartment
First Thing to Check
Inspect ice room area for excessive frost around the sensor
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check MAIN PCB Connector CN91 insertion
- 2
2. Measure voltage between CN91-2 and CN91-1 (should be 0.6V-4.6V)
- 3
3. Verify input voltage at IC01 MICOM pin #11
- 4
4. Inspect for iced-solder or solder bridging
- 5
5. Compare to temperature reference table
- 6
6. Check resistance value R919 on MICOM pin #11
