Error Code F DEF
Defrost heating sensor in freezer section is not working
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F DEF
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN31; Freezer defrost sensor unit malfunction; Voltage reading outside 0.6V-4.6V range; Iced-solder or solder bridging; Defective MICOM input at pin #6
What actually causes this:
Sensor disconnected or damaged by frost accumulation during defrost cycles
First Thing to Check
Look for frost buildup around the defrost heater and sensor
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check MAIN PCB Connector CN31 insertion
- 2
2. Measure voltage between CN31-3 and CN31-4 (should be 0.6V-4.6V)
- 3
3. Verify input voltage at IC01 MICOM pin #6
- 4
4. Inspect for iced-solder or bridging
- 5
5. Compare to temperature reference table
- 6
6. Check resistance value R313 on MICOM pin #6
