What This Means

Sensor housing separation; Contact error at connector; Sensor wire disconnection; Short circuit in sensor line; Temperature reading out of range

What actually causes this:

Sensor connection gets wet or corroded, or the sensor wire is pinched when the ice maker or evaporator is replaced

First Thing to Check

Inspect the freezer evaporator area for the sensor connector and check if it is wet or loose

How to Fix

    Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN30-4 and CN76-1

  2. 2

    Voltage should be between 4.5V and 1.0V

  3. 3

    Check sensor connector for proper contact

  4. 4

    Inspect wiring for damage or separation

  5. 5

    Verify sensor is physically intact
