What This Means

Fan motor feedback signal line contact error; Fan motor wiring separation; Fan motor mechanical failure; Motor bearing seize; Fan blade jam or obstruction

What actually causes this:

Ice builds up in front of the fan, or the motor bearings wear out from continuous use

First Thing to Check

Check if there is ice buildup blocking the fan opening in the freezer evaporator area

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN76-3 (Yellow) and CN76-1 (Gray)

  2. 2

    Voltage should be between 7V and 12V during fan operation

  3. 3

    Listen for fan noise when refrigerator is in cooling mode

  4. 4

    Check for ice blockage at fan inlet

  5. 5

    Verify motor wiring is not pinched or disconnected
