Error Code AMBIENT_SENSOR_ERROR
Outside air temperature or humidity sensor is faulty
Minor
Usually easy to fix - may resolve on its own
Also displayed as: Both F and R LEDs blink
What This Means
Disconnected or poorly seated connector at MAIN PCB CN34; Failed humidity/ambient combination sensor; Solder defect at R348 on PCB; Failed MICOM IC01 pin 12
What actually causes this:
The sensor that reads room temperature and humidity has failed, which can affect fan control and defrost scheduling.
First Thing to Check
Reseat connector CN34 on the main board.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check MAIN PCB connector CN34 is fully seated
- 2
Measure voltage between CN34-5 and CN34-7 (ambient channel); normal 4.5V~1.0V
- 3
Measure MICOM IC01 pin 12 voltage; should match CN34-5/7
- 4
Check solder at R348
- 5
Replace humidity/ambient sensor if voltage is out of range
