Error Code ICE_ROOM_FAN_ERROR
Ice storage compartment fan is not working
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: R LED blinks
What This Means
Ice room fan motor failure; Bad wiring at CN32-9/10; Ice obstruction; MAIN PCB drive circuit failure; Rotation pulse feedback absent at CN32-8
What actually causes this:
The small fan that keeps the ice bucket cold has stopped running, which will cause ice to clump together.
First Thing to Check
Check if the ice bucket is fully seated — the bucket must be installed correctly for this fan to operate.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Verify compressor is running
- 2
Check ice room temperature is below fan start threshold (below -3°C/26.6°F)
- 3
Measure voltage between CN32-9 and CN32-10; should be DC 7~12V
- 4
If alternates between DC 7~12V and below 2V, fan is pulsing normally
- 5
Check CN32-8 pulse signal
- 6
Replace fan motor if voltage present but motor not spinning
- 7
Replace Main PCB if no drive voltage
