Error Code CFAN-ERROR
Compressor area cooling fan is not running
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: Indicated via self-diagnosis
What This Means
Fan motor failure; Bad wiring at CN40; Fan blade obstructed by debris; No rotation feedback pulse to MICOM
What actually causes this:
The fan that cools the compressor and condenser in the machine compartment has stopped, which can cause the compressor to overheat.
First Thing to Check
Check the machine compartment at the bottom rear for debris, and confirm the ambient temperature is above 19°C (66°F).
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure DC voltage between MAIN PCB Ground CN40 '15' (W/GRY) and CN40 '13' (S/BLU): should alternate between 7-12V and below 2V
- 2
Check pulse signal at CN40 pin 11: should read ~2-3V
- 3
Verify ambient temperature is above 66.2°F (19°C) — C-FAN only runs when ambient is warm enough
- 4
Replace MAIN PCB if voltage is absent
