Error Code FREEZER-FAN-ERROR
Freezer evaporator fan motor is not running
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F and R blink (fan error pattern)
What This Means
Fan motor failure; Bad wiring connection at CN20; Foreign material (ice) blocking fan blade; No rotation pulse feedback to MICOM
What actually causes this:
The fan that blows cold air from the freezer evaporator has stopped, likely due to ice buildup around the fan blades or a failed motor.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and manually spin the fan blade — if it is stiff or frozen in place, a manual defrost cycle is needed.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Enter manual operation (FF) mode to verify compressor is running
- 2
Measure DC voltage between MAIN PCB Ground CN20 '18' (W/BLK) and CN20 '16' (S/RED): should alternate between 7-12V and below 2V
- 3
Check pulse signal at CN20 pin 14 (PNK): should read ~2-3V with multimeter
- 4
If no voltage, check wiring to fan motor and replace if necessary
