Error Code FRIDGE-SENSOR
Refrigerator compartment temperature sensor is faulty or disconnected
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: R blinks (Fridge indicator)
What This Means
Bad connector contact at MAIN PCB CN20; Open or short circuit in sensor wiring; Failed thermistor (0Ω = short, infinite Ω = open); PCB solder defect at R210
What actually causes this:
The sensor measuring fridge temperature has failed, causing the fridge to run too warm or too cold without knowing it.
First Thing to Check
Firmly reseat the connector at the back of the fridge compartment near the evaporator cover.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check MAIN PCB connector CN20 is fully inserted
- 2
Measure voltage at CN20-'9' <-> '11': should be between 1.0V and 4.5V
- 3
If voltage out of range, measure resistance at CN20-'9' ↔ '11' and compare to temperature table
- 4
Check soldering at R210 (IC01 MICOM #5) on PCB
- 5
0Ω = short circuit; ∞Ω = open circuit
