Error Code FREEZER-SENSOR
Freezer temperature sensor is faulty or disconnected
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F blinks (Freezer indicator)
What This Means
Bad connector contact at MAIN PCB CN20; Open or short circuit in sensor wiring; Failed thermistor (0Ω = short, infinite Ω = open); PCB solder defect at R224
What actually causes this:
The thermistor that tells the fridge how cold the freezer is has failed or come unplugged, so the system can't regulate freezer temperature properly.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and reseat the sensor connector — it's the small plug going to the sensor near the evaporator.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check MAIN PCB connector CN20 is fully inserted
- 2
Measure voltage at CN20-'10' <-> '12': should be between 1.0V and 4.5V
- 3
If voltage out of range, measure resistance at CN20-'10' ↔ '12' and compare to temperature table
- 4
Check soldering at R224 (IC01 MICOM #7) on PCB
- 5
0Ω = short circuit trouble; ∞Ω = open circuit trouble
