Error Code ICE-MAKER-SENSOR-CUBED
Cubed ice maker temperature sensor is faulty
Minor
Usually easy to fix - may resolve on its own
Also displayed as: F and R blink (specific pattern for cubed ice maker)
What This Means
Bad connector at CN90 pins 14 and 26; Open or short circuit in sensor wiring; Failed thermistor
What actually causes this:
The sensor that monitors cubed ice maker mold temperature has failed, so the ice maker cannot judge when ice is frozen enough to harvest.
First Thing to Check
Reseat the ice maker sensor connector at CN90.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check MAIN PCB connector CN90 is fully inserted
- 2
Measure voltage at CN90-'14' ↔ '26': should be between 1.0V and 4.5V
- 3
Disconnect CN90 and measure resistance between CN90-'14' ↔ '26'
- 4
Check R925 (IC01 MICOM #14) on PCB
