What This Means

Loose connector at CN90-1 or CN90-7; Damaged ice maker thermistor; PCB solder joint failure; Freezer too warm to make ice

What actually causes this:

Ice maker sensor has lost connection or burned out from electrical overstress

First Thing to Check

Verify the ice maker sensor connector is fully seated on the main control board

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage between MAIN PCB CN90-1 and CN90-7

  2. 2

    Expected voltage range: 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    Verify both connector pins are fully seated

  4. 4

    Check if freezer temperature is below 0°C
