Error Code 2C
Fridge compartment sensor is detecting an impossible temperature
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: 2C
What This Means
Sensor housing has separated from its mounting; Incomplete electrical contact at connector; Open-circuited wire in sensor harness; Short-circuit in sensor or wiring
What actually causes this:
The fridge sensor wire often gets pinched when reassembling the evaporator cover, causing an open circuit
First Thing to Check
Look behind the refrigerator evaporator cover for any pinched or disconnected wires near the sensor
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check voltage between Main PCB CN20 pins 9 and 11 — should be within 4.5V to 1.0V range
- 2
Verify CN20 connector is properly inserted into Main PCB
- 3
Check wire harness for damage between sensor and PCB
- 4
Measure sensor resistance vs temperature table to verify sensor health
