Error Code 82E
The compressor tried to start but could not get going
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: 82E
What This Means
Short circuit between compressor U, V, W phases; Short among IPM pins; IPM operating voltage dropped below DC 13.5V; Compressor mechanical failure; Refrigerant system issue
What actually causes this:
Failed IPM (intelligent power module) on the inverter board — a common failure point in this series
First Thing to Check
Wait 10 minutes after the last compressor attempt, then check whether the inverter PCB LED is blinking and what pattern it shows
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check DC 15V output at C501/ZD501 on inverter PCB — if less than 13.5V, supply is faulty
- 2
Check DC 5V at CE1009
- 3
Check AC 220V at CN81
- 4
Verify compressor wiring connector CN102 is properly inserted
- 5
Check for short circuits in IPM pins #1–26 on inverter PCB
