What This Means

Compressor wire connection problem; Bad soldering on inverter PCB; Short in inverter PCB components; Compressor or refrigerant cycle issue

What actually causes this:

A phase wire to the compressor is open or has high resistance, preventing the MICOM from sensing rotor position

First Thing to Check

Check all three compressor phase wires at CN04 for continuity and tight connections

    Check soldering on inverter PCB for shorts

  3. 3

    Verify compressor and refrigerant cycle are normal

  4. 4

    Check that compressor is not locked rotor (spinning less than 1000 RPM for over 5 seconds)
