Error Code CE1
Compressor failed to start after being commanded to run
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: CE1
What This Means
Short between compressor U, V, and W phase windings; Short among IPM pins (No. 1–26); DC 15V output dropped below 13.5V; Compressor mechanical failure; Refrigerant cycle issue
What actually causes this:
Inverter board failure, compressor winding short, or refrigerant blockage preventing compressor from turning.
First Thing to Check
Wait 10 full minutes after the last compressor operation, then try Forced Run mode to see if the compressor attempts to start.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Wait at least 10 minutes after compressor last ran before testing
- 2
Check soldering status of inverter PCB for shorts
- 3
Verify DC 15V output is 13.5V or higher (C501/ZD501)
- 4
Check compressor winding continuity
- 5
Run Forced Operation to attempt start
