Error Code CE5
AC supply voltage is too low for compressor to operate safely
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: CE5
What This Means
AC supply voltage below 106V (for 115V models); Voltage drop caused by undersized wiring or extension cord; Building power supply issue
What actually causes this:
The household circuit is under-voltage or an extension cord is causing a voltage drop.
First Thing to Check
Plug a voltmeter into the same outlet and read the voltage while the refrigerator runs — it should stay above 106V.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Measure AC input voltage at the refrigerator power outlet
- 2
For 115V models: error triggers when input is below AC 106V
- 3
Check power cord and outlet for voltage drop
This Error Applies To
