Error Code F-FAN ERROR
Freezer fan motor is not spinning or not generating feedback signal
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: 1 deg C LED Lamp blinking (electronic); 11 blinks (rotary switch model)
What This Means
Defective F-Fan BLDC motor; Contact error at freezer fan motor connector; Defective motor wire or slipped wire; Fan blade blocked by ice or debris; Defective feedback signal wire
What actually causes this:
Fan motor failure, blocked fan blade, or loose connector on the freezer fan
First Thing to Check
Measure DC voltage at CN30 #20 and #18 during forced operation - should read 7-12V if PCB is commanding fan
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Run Forced Operation mode
- 2
Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN30 pin 20 and pin 18 for standard models - should be DC 7 to 12V when fan is commanded on
- 3
For RT48A6004** model: measure CN30 pin 11 and pin 9
- 4
If approximately DC 2V is read, fan is not rotating - suspect fan motor or connector
- 5
Check for any obstacle blocking fan blade
- 6
Check motor wire connections and connector seating
