What actually causes this:
Disconnected, damaged, or failed defrost thermistor on the evaporator
First Thing to Check
Check CN30 connector seating; measure voltage at CN30 pins 6 and 8

Check MAIN PCB CN30 connector is properly inserted

Measure voltage between MAIN PCB CN30 pin 6 and pin 8

Voltage should be within 4.5V to 0.5V

0V indicates short; 5V indicates open

Replace sensor if out of range and connectors verified good
