Error Code 9C1

The washer is getting too much voltage from the outlet.

Critical

Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue

Also displayed as: 9C1

What This Means

Power supply voltage too high; Improper power conditions at the outlet; Extension cord or plug receptacle causing voltage issues; Main PBA fault

What actually causes this:

The outlet is providing higher-than-normal voltage, or a power surge occurred. Sometimes caused by sharing a circuit with high-draw appliances.

First Thing to Check

Unplug the washer, wait one minute, then plug it back in. If the error returns, try a different outlet that is not on an extension cord.

Parts Involved

Main PBA

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Check the consumer's power conditions and verify operating voltage at the outlet.

  2. 2

    2. Connect a tester to the internal power terminals during Boil or Dry operations and observe the washer's operation.

  3. 3

    3. Check voltages at the power supply.

  4. 4

    4. Check whether a plug receptacle (extension cord) is being used. When the connecting wire is 1m, a momentary low voltage may drop up to 10V.

  5. 5

    5. If main PBA fault is suspected, replace the PBA.
