6 technician insights for the this appliance

Compressor Soft Start Delay and 10-Minute Offline Requirement

Compressor won't start if less than 10 minutes have elapsed since the last stop — this is intentional protection against compressor liquid slugging and burnout. Technicians sometimes misdiagnose this as a failure. Always wait 10+ minutes before testing compressor startup. The manual explicitly states this in Section 5-2: 'Check it again after 10 minutes.' No amount of force-running or power cycling bypasses this safety delay.

Manual Operation Buzzer Sound Pattern

When manual operation is activated, a continuous buzzer alarm sounds at 0.25 seconds ON / 0.75 seconds OFF pattern. This alarm continues NON-STOP for the entire 24-hour manual operation period. There is NO WAY to silence it - this is intentional to prevent technicians from forgetting to cancel manual mode. Customers hate this sound. If you're testing compressor, wear hearing protection or put the fridge in a separate room. The buzzer only stops when manual operation mode is cancelled.

Cooling Off (Demo) mode persists through power cycles on North America models

On North America models, if the refrigerator is in Cooling Off mode and is power-cycled, it STAYS in Cooling Off mode when powered back on. On other region Exhibition models, power cycling EXITS Exhibition mode. This difference catches technicians: a fridge showing '0' and 'FF' after a power outage on NA models may just be stuck in Cooling Off mode, not a refrigerant failure.

Freezer Evaporator Cover Wire Routing

When reassembling the refrigerator evaporator cover, the sensor wire MUST be routed through the upper hook on the cover. If the wire is not secured in this hook, the fan blade will rub against the wire, causing a constant ticking or buzzing noise. This is a common callback if overlooked.
