Error Code HE
Heater Error — water not heated or tub temperature overheated above 194°F; heater circuit fault
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Wiring connection disconnected (RL2 pin1 to RL3 pin1); Inlet water temperature very high (over 185°F); Thermistor damaged; Heater element damaged (resistance out of range); Controller (main PCB) damaged; Relay circuit faulty
How to Fix
- 1
Check connectors RL2 pin1 and RL3 pin1 connection to main PCB; if disconnected, reconnect
- 2
Check inlet water temperature using test mode; if over 185°F, adjust water heater temperature to 120°F max
- 3
Measure heater resistance — should be 11.5 ohm ±10%; if out of range, replace heater assembly (pump casing assembly)
- 4
Measure voltage between RL2 pin1 and RL3 pin1 — should be 120V AC ±15%; if out of range, replace main PCB
- 5
Measure thermistor resistance — should be 8-44 kΩ; if out of range, replace thermistor
- 6
If heater and thermistor both check OK, replace relay circuit or main PCB assembly
