Error Code HS
Humidity sensor (electrode/moisture sensor) failure
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: HS
How to Fix
- 1
Power off the dryer.
- 2
Disconnect the NA6 connector from the main PCB.
- 3
Measure resistance between NA6 pin 2 (GN/Green wire) and chassis ground. If resistance is less than 1Ω the ground connection is good; if not, repair the ground path.
- 4
Place a metal jumper between NA6 pin 2 (OR/Orange wire) and NA6 pin 3 (BL/Blue wire) to bridge the sensor bars.
- 5
Measure resistance between the two moisture sensor bars (electrode bars) inside the lint filter housing. Should be less than 1Ω if bars are conductive and jumper is in place.
- 6
If resistance is NOT less than 1Ω → Check all wiring and connectors between NA6 terminal at main PCB and the sensor bars. Verify resistance is less than 1Ω on all wires and check harness connectors for corrosion, loose/bent pins, or broken wires.
- 7
Enter Diagnostic Mode and enter functional test: close door, press START/PAUSE; drum tumbles without heat. Open door, reach in and place fingers across moisture sensor bars; press door switch. Observe numerical display – value should be 30–255 and should decrease as skin moisture is detected (below 180 indicates normal sensing).
- 8
If display does not respond → Clean the electrode sensor bars with a clean cloth. Reconnect harness. Retest.
- 9
If still failing → Replace main PCB.
