What This Means

Door switch open or shorted; Door frame knob not actuating switch; Harness connector loose

How to Fix

1. 1

   Enter diagnostic test mode to confirm dE code

2. 2

   Turn off power before measuring resistance

3. 3

   With door closed: measure resistance between BL2 white wire and BK2 black wire connector (after removing BL2 and WH4 from controller); expect below 2500 Ω

4. 4

   If above 2500 Ω with door closed: check door switch per component testing procedure — door closed should read COM-NO resistance below 1 Ω

5. 5

   With door open: measure resistance between BL2 white wire and BK2 black wire; expect 300–600 Ω (lamp resistance in circuit)

6. 6

   If lamp resistance is not in range, check interior lamp and replace if necessary, then re-measure

7. 7

   Measure resistance between WH4 yellow wire and BL2 white wire with door open; expect below 1 Ω (door switch COM-NC path)

8. 8

   With door closed, same yellow-to-white measurement should read below 1 Ω via COM-NO path

9. 9

   If switch readings fail, replace door switch

10. 10

    If all switch readings pass, check controller and harness-linking connector
