How to Fix

Enter diagnostic test mode to confirm tE4 is present

Turn off power before inspecting steam generator

Inspect the thermistor connector on the steam generator for loose or damaged connections

Measure resistance of steam generator thermistor terminals; compare to expected values for ambient temperature
- 5
If thermistor measures open (infinite resistance) or short (near 0 Ω), replace the steam generator assembly
- 6
If thermistor measures correctly, inspect harness connector between generator and main PCB for corrosion or damage
