How to Fix

  1. 1

Turn off dryer and unplug from power.

  2. 2

Discharge capacitors: touch metal plug of power cord to ground.

  3. 3

Disconnect connector NA6 from the controller.

  4. 4

Short Pin 5 (Yellow Wire) and Pin 6 (Blue Wire) on the NA6 connector together.

  5. 5

If controller does not detect short, check NA6 connector seating; if seated properly, replace the controller.

  6. 6

Remove harness from thermistor assembly connector and measure resistance between thermistor terminals.

  7. 7

Compare against Table 1 temperature-resistance chart (see tE1 steps).

  8. 8

If resistance reads near 0 Ω (shorted), replace the thermistor assembly.

  9. 9

If resistance is in range, check and reseat the harness-linking connector.
