Condenser fan (machine room BLDC) motor error
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Reset the unit and enter TEST MODE 1 (push test button 1 time).
- 2
Measure condenser fan motor supply voltage at CON4 pins 24 to 23. Expected: 11.4–12.6V.
- 3
If supply voltage is not 11.4–12.6V: replace Main PCB.
- 4
If supply voltage is correct: check if condenser fan is rotating. If fan does not rotate: proceed to step 3.
- 5
If fan rotates: check fan feed-back voltage at CON4 pins 22 to 23. Expected: not 0V or 5V.
- 6
If feedback voltage is 0V or 5V: change condenser fan motor.
- 7
If fan does not rotate: physically rotate fan blade by hand. If fan feels sticky or stiff: replace fan motor.
- 8
If fan is not sticky: check fan PWM voltage at CON4 pins 21 to 23. Expected: not 0V or 5V.
- 9
If PWM voltage is 0V or 5V: replace Main PCB.
- 10
If all voltages are correct and fan rotates freely: explain situation to customer.
